Why should you use unrefined sea salt?
For a whole list of reasons. Foremost, humans need salt. Without sodium and potassium, we can’t maintain the proper fluid balance in our cells. Notice, I said sodium and potassium, both are in unrefined sea salt.
Sea salt has a more subtle saltiness but somehow sharper flavor than regular table salt.
It comes in so many beautiful colors and flavors, from dark pink Alaea Sea Salt enriched with iron oxide from the Hawaiian lava flows to the naturally moist, exquisite French Grey Sea Salt from the Celtic sea beds off the coast of Europe.
It is a rich source of minerals including, potassium, iodine, fluorine, magnesium, manganese and calcium and in some cases has less sodium chloride than regular table salt.
It replenishes electrolytes and restores the body’s fluids to normal pH levels, very important in fighting cancer and other diseases.
It stabilizes blood pressure.
It removes acids, helping to prevent arthritis and gout.
It increases our energy levels.
It can be used to relieve congestion in your nose and sinuses, when you have a cold, flu or allergies. Read Snort Saltwater for Sinus Congestion
It can be used in your bathwater, to heal sunburned skin.
You can gargle with it to kill throat dwelling viruses like H1N1, Strep throat, or to relieve the pain of a sore throat.
You can lick your finger, stick it in the salt, and dab the salt on a pimple, and leave it there overnight to ‘kill’ the pimple.
Unrefined sea salt is delicious, nutritious and medicinal. Every house should have a salt pig full of this incredible superfood and amazing home remedy.
Warnings: If you have kidney or cardiovascular issues please consult your natural practitioner or physician before using unrefined sea salt to rebalance your tissues and body fluids.
