At my favourite garden centre, there is a beautiful woman who is always there, sometimes wandering around, but usually sitting on a chair at the cash register. She runs a thriving business, with many loyal and returning customers every year.

Every Spring, my gardening buddy Pat and I visit her greenhouses to choose the most beautiful flowers for our gardens. Her plants are incredibly healthy, with huge colourful blooms, bursting oranges, ravishing pinks and brilliant reds. It’s a feast for our eyes, but mostly our souls.

Two Springs ago, I noticed our lady was looking a bit peaked. As always, Pat and I spoke to her but this time she shared her story. She had been diagnosed with bowel cancer and was taking treatments. I immediately gave her my card and urged her to visit my website and consider what things she could do for herself, to make sure she was in control of the cancer. She smiled and took my card. I felt a little deflated, receiving her unspoken message. This happens often when I tell people with cancer that they can actually cure themselves, like many others have done.

This past Spring, like every Spring, Pat and I went on our excellent adventure, searching out the most beautiful plants for our gardens. Of course the first place we visited was our favourite lady’s greenhouse. There she sat, smiling faintly, looking more peaked then ever, a wig slightly slanted atop her head. My heart sank.

When we finally made our way to the cash area with our purchases, I attempted again to inject a bit of alternative healing. I asked her how she was doing. She made a little face and began to tell me about her treatments. Her doctor told her, that she has to be on low dose chemotherapy, for the rest of her life.

My heart sank . . . a lot further this time.

I asked her, “Didn’t I give you my card last year?”

She answered, “Yes, I think so.”

“Well, let me give it to you again, I’ve got it right here.” I searched through my purse until I pulled out the bright-green card.

We began talking about cancer, a very similar conversation to the one we had a year ago. I was hoping at the very least, to peak her interest, so she would go to the website and find the information about what she could do to help her body heal.

When our conversation was coming to an end she smiled and said, “You said it right.”

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“You said it right. You didn’t force it on me like so many other people do”, she said.

I smiled and thanked her and wished her well and we walked out of the garden centre.

That was in June.

Yesterday Pat called. She was crying.

Our favourite garden centre lady had died. Another one lost.

The hill is awash in autumn oranges, crisp reds and intense yellows. It is such a beautiful contrast to the world some people live in. It’s been just over four months since we were at the garden centre.

WHY do we allow ourselves to stay in denial of the truths about healing?

If many, many others have used natural therapies like cleansing, raw vegan diets, and macrobiotic diets to cure themselves, why would anyone ever deny that evidence?

What real purpose does it serve anyone to deny that we all have a powerful and innate ability to heal, once we take certain steps to improve our health?

Of course it doesn’t make any sense whatsoever to deny that we can heal our own bodies once we decide to do so.

I suspect our beautiful plant lady never did look at my information, even though I did, ‘Say it right.’

WHY are some people so closed to alternative methods?

If our favourite garden lady had been receptive; if she had just opened up her world and let the truth flow in, it’s my guess, she would still be here, watering, pruning . . . smiling.

It is my solemn vow, to our beautiful plant lady, to spend the rest of my life pounding on the doors of cancer-ridden minds, gushing truth wherever I can. WHY? Because, I owe it to myself. I owe it to my mother and my father and to his mother. I owe it our beautiful plant lady, but most of all, I owe it to our children and the concept of our future world without cancer.

If you are a person who needs to embrace receptivity to save your life, here is the truth. People have cured themselves of every type of cancer (and every other disease) you can imagine, no matter how deadly they were told it was. Did you get that? If not, please read it again.

Our body is completely adept, very skilled at healing itself. The problem is we continue to look outside of ourselves for an answer, but the answer still lies inside, in what our body needs to heal itself.

Know that this concept of self-healing is even more deeply ingrained in our bodies and our minds than the false beliefs about cancer. Once you shake off these false beliefs, the truth will bubble up inside you and permeate every part of your body and soul. Feeling the authenticity of this message will enable you to tap into the powerful healing ability you already have. This innate healing ability was given to you even before your birth and will stay with you your entire life, as your body ALWAYS strives to heal . . . ALWAYS.

5 GOLDEN STEPS TO HEALING YOURSELF

  1. First make up your mind that You are NOT going to accept a lesser life or a dire outcome. Conceive that You WILL accept a vision of optimum health that You create and hold in front of You at all times.
  1. ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU DO HAVE THE POWER TO CURE YOURSELF.
  1. Be RECEPTIVE and open to new information and alternative points of view. This alone can save your life. People offer advice because they have something to share and give and sometimes messages come in strange packages and unlikely places. Take in the message and follow up with research. Your body will tell you when something is the true path, but you will only understand if you pay attention.
  1. LOOK, LISTEN AND LEARN FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE ALREADY CURED THEMSELVES! Like the people sharing their incredible stories on this website. Click on the menu above under Recipes & Resources –> IHJ Healing Podcast.
  1. Take action on the information. Try cleansing and some new healthy recipes. Eat more raw food. Read. Learn. You can do this! Listen to your body.  You will know when you are getting better, just as sure as you will know when you are getting worse. Keep striving until you feeeel you are moving to wellness, and believe me, you WILL know!

Until next time,

Happy Healing,

Lisa
